“ We googled what was close to Irvine Park since we were going hiking that morning and needed a quick bite and coffee to power up. Ended up at Ape Coffee and glad we tried it! My bf went with a latte and egg sandwich, and I ordered their famous Cloud Ape with avocado toast. Coffee was really good, but the avocado toast had way too much lime, super tangy, not really the way I like it. This place is definitely popular. The line was long and finding a seat or table was tricky, but we got lucky. I liked the overall vibe and especially the music playing in the background, it gave the spot some extra character. Noticed they’re also selling merch, which is pretty cool if you’re into repping your coffee spots. ”

“ Best coffee and matcha in the area. I love the Snow Monkey (get mine 75% sweet) and the Incredible Ape. Always delicious, lot of good and even interesting pastries I don’t see commonly (or at all) like various croissants and kouign amanns. Also love the elusive banana bread. Staff are awesome and very nice ”

“ First time checking this place out, and I was not disappointed. Before anything this place does not accept cash, card only! I tried the Tiramisu Ice Latte with espresso instead of matcha, and it was delicious. My friend had the Cloud Ape, a cold brew topped with cream and cocoa powder, and he loved it. There's a reason these are called their signature drinks, both were top quality! I’ll be coming back pretty soon I'm sure. Their espresso is rich in flavor, and you can tell the staff carefully craft each drink. Worth checking out if you haven’t already! ”

“ Lots of people studying, good atmosphere. Coffee was… average. Nothing too special. I love a good banana coffee, so this was great just pricey. We also tried the matcha Oreo cookie which was okay. ”

“ I didn't care for cold coffee/lattes until I came here. Drinks are phenomenally made, staff is super friendly, the snacks are yummy, it's a nice atmosphere and easy to be a regular here. 5 stars all around - try the Snow Monkey or the Monkey Business! ”

“ This café is beautifully designed and offers a unique selection of coffee and drinks. I highly recommend the Monkey Business, an iced coffee with banana cream that will delight banana lovers! Definitely will visit again when I’m around. ”

“ Every time I visit, their customer service is really good, baristas are all very nice and explain the menu well if you have any questions. I love the unique flavor combinations they offer. I’ve tried matcha and coffee from here on multiple occasions and both are solid. You can also study here but I wouldn’t say it’s as ideal as other study cafes :) ”
